Lab Tours
We offer visits to many of our state-of-the art labs at UHN. This gives youth a chance to engage in hands-on-activities, meet with our graduate students and researchers, and just see what type of work scientists do on a day-to-day basis. Many of these tours can also be offered virtually.

Here are some examples of our Tour offerings:
-
Toronto Rehab Lab Tours
We offer tours of the Challenging Environment Assessment Laboratory (CEAL) at KITE/Toronto Rehab. Students get to see how scientists evaluate problems in a simulation setting. For instance, they will get to visit and explore the DriverLab, WinterLab, HomeLab, StreetLab and/or StairLab.
-
Microscopy Facility Tours
In partnership with the Advanced Optical Microscopy Facility (AOMF) we offer tours of the world-class imaging facility. Students will see the different ways scientists develop and solve problems using imaging. For instance, they will get to see fluorescence microscopy in action.
-
PMCRT Labs
The Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower (PMCRT) hosts many of UHN's research labs, including those working in the cancer research field. Students can explore ongoing innovations such as tumour imaging during surgeries, targeted drug therapies, and what a day-in-the-lab looks like for a cancer researcher.
