Certificate of Participation Program
UHN STEM Pathways is excited to announce our 2025-2026 Certificate of Participation program!
This program allows students to receive certifications while participating in exciting STEM events. Specifically, all youth who attend 7 UHN STEM Pathways Certificiate-eligible Events between September 2025 and June 2026 will receive a certificate signed by senior UHN leadership PLUS if eligible, a Certificate towards an Ontario Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM).
If youth are from PDSB, TDSB, TCDSB or WCDSB (both Waterloo and Wellington) the SHSM certificate will be for Health & Wellness. If youth are from a different school board, please have your teacher contact us to confirm SHSM-eligibility. Please note, students not in the SHSM program are not eligible for the bonus SHSM certificate.
The program is now open for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Please sign up below.

If students have registered for the program using the form above, we will cross-reference these details with our attendance list for events. It is important that the name used to register for the program (both first and last name) match the name used to register and attend other events (e.g., Zoom name, PA Day form, etc.).

We offer a variety of STEM-focused events. The majority of these events are facilitated virtually. In some events youth complete an interactive activity (e.g., Build Your Own Artificial Intelligence System), while others involve participating in a career panel (e.g., STEM Talks: World Heart Day).
