Our first experiment? Plant organ dissection! Students will learn important techniques to set up and perform successful experiments such as aseptic technique and lab notebook etiquette.
Open to Grade 9-12 and undergraduate/college students.
Please note the list of materials required - if you are unable to obtain these supplies, you’re welcome to attend regardless!
Materials Required:
White vinegar (or other types of vinegar)
Water
Tweezers
Ruler (or measuring tape)
Kitchen knife (something small e.g., butter knife)
Paper towel
New notepad or notebook
1-2 fruits/vegetables of your choice (e.g. banana, cucumber, pepper, eggplant, tomato, kiwi, orange, lemons, okra, etc.)
