Trial and Error: Inside Clinical Research

Open to Grade 7-12 and undergraduate/college students.

In this session, students will learn about clinical trials and how new treatments are deemed safe and effective through research. Dmitry Naboka, a Clinical Research Technician at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, will share more about their role and teach students how discoveries become treatments, the various stages involved in clinical research and ethical considerations associated with this work. This interactive session will challenge students to think like a clinical researcher and prompt them with challenges and common situations scientists deal with.
