Mock University Lecture

In this session, youth will have the opportunity to attend a university-level lecture and get a feel of what post-secondary education is like. Deep dive into Health Equity with Dr. Melanie Powis, who is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, and the Scientific Director of the Cancer Quality Lab (CQuaL) at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

This exciting lecture will cover topics such as the structural and social determinants of health, community-informed approaches to addressing health disparities and more.

Open to Grade 7-12 and undergraduate/college students.
